What did you do to my site?
We made it look gorgeous, that's what we did. We also added tons of new features that will help you get the most out of your visit to Lake Tahoe. If you live here, we will help keep you informed on where all the fun stuff is happening. You will have a ton more tools at your disposal than you did on the old site; tools like a calendar that lets you save items to your personal calendars, or like a video player that let's you see the latest events around town. We've made it possible for you to look no further than tahoe.com when it comes to planning your stay with us. And it's much more visually appealing; we've got some awesome local photographers who've shot the best of Lake Tahoe, for your viewing pleasure.
So what's so great about all this new stuff?
I'm glad you asked ... and you will be too. Some of our new features include:
mytahoe -- This is your page, your space to do what you want in our community. Create a persona, post photos, write messages to other friends on the site, leave your comments and reviews on any of our articles, and much, much more. Registering gets you access to member-only newsletters, and it allows you to save any item you find on the site to your personal itinerary; save a calendar item, location of your favorite pizza joint or golf course, a link to an article you want to review later ... anything you want to keep for reference or to help you plan, it's all on your mytahoe page. It's your slice of Lake Tahoe, in your own home.
Tahoe Guide -- The heart and soul of our new site, the Tahoe Guide will literally guide you anywhere you need to go at the lake with an interactive Google Map built right in. Search by region, landmark or interest; find a golf course near your hotel, then search for restaurants to satisfy your post-game hunger. Read other users' reviews and comments about where the best beach is, or who's got the cheapest happy hour in town. See pictures and menus, get driving directions, phone numbers and more. Let us guide you to your greatest Tahoe adventure ever.
Plan Your Trip -- Why go anywhere else to plan your trip? Through our partnership with Lake Tahoe hotels, resorts and Hotels.com, you can research and compare the best hotel, airfare and car rental rates. We'll also provide you with featured deals, last-minute specials and more. You'll also find a comprehensive list of available vacation rentals, in case you prefer a homey touch to your vacation. While you're here, browse our event calendar to see what's going on in town, and don't forget to check out the weather and road conditions. Whatever information you need, we've got you covered.
Calendar -- Speaking of that event calendar, this will become your favorite tool. Our new interface will give you clean, comprehensive information about all the events at Lake Tahoe. You'll be able to search just the dates you want, get reminders about events you don't want to miss, add events to your mytahoe or to your personal calendar, forward events to friends and much, much more. More Photos -- Sure we write well, but that can only inspire you so much, right? That's why we're adding more photo galleries to the site, plus we're letting you add things too. Publish your favorite photos of Lake Tahoe, your kids, your pets, the best view ... whatever it is, we want to show you off.

Where did all my old favorite content go?
With all good things, there must come some change. But don't worry; we haven't gotten rid of anything you loved before. We've just moved it around. If you ever can't find something you used to use, e-mail me and I'll find it for you. Then I'll make it easier to find in the future!

But it's for you to use, so we want your opinion .. good and bad!
