Freak show falls on a Saturday

Halloween this year falls on a Saturday night. How freaky is that?
More than 1,000, and possibly as many as 2,000, costumed revelers will attend the 31st annual Freaker's Ball in the MontBleu Casino Resort and Spa's Convention Center.
More than in $10,000 cash and prizes will be awarded.
“In addition to the cash we have, season passes, snowboards, wake boards, ski jackets, refrigerators, lawnchairs, liquor, tap machines, sweatshirts and VIP passes,” said Executive Marketing Manager Mike Donovan. “The costume contest itself has been judged for years by an all-star cast of Curtis Fong, George Alm, Betsy Miller and others.”
Cash or prizes will be awarded for those choosen for the top four costumes, plus honorable mention winners.
“If you come to this party, you will dance your ass off,” said Dan Meblin, the drummer Pop Fiction, who will perform at the event. “This will definitely be an evening for gawkers and people watchers.”
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the party goes until sunrise. The Freaker's Ball is being held in Blu Nightclub, Opal Ultra Lounge and the Convention Center. Drink specials all night and morning long. Go-go dancers and body painting will be featured. Tickets are available by calling MontBleu at (800) 648-3353 or at ticketmaster.com.
The event has been held at the Horizon Casino Resort and Caesars Tahoe, which in 2006 changed it's name to MontBleu.
