Architect, artist and former Truckee Mayor Craig Threshie will host a trunk show featuring his handcrafted jewelry at Truckee’s Carmel Gallery.
The trunk show is slated for 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the gallery, located at 9940 Donner Pass Road in Truckee. Threshie will be on-hand to discuss his work and will offer a 20 percent discount on all of his pieces at the show.
His is also now represented at Carmel Gallery.
Threshie, a 15-year Truckee resident, started Jewels of the Reef in 2007 to pursue his passion for designing and crafting with natural stone, pearls, and metals — something he has done since he was a boy. Now Threshie is one of the top-selling artists at North Tahoe Arts in Tahoe City.
“I have always viewed the design and craft of fine jewelry creation as a holistic process,” Threshie said. “It begins with inspiration from exploring in the tropics, and the vision comes to fruition through design and craftsmanship.”
Jewels of the Reef is a jewelry design studio owned by Truckee-resident Craig Threshie. The company prides itself on creating high-quality hand-crafted pieces, excellent customer service, and environmental awareness and stewardship.
