The final car and motorcycle show of the season will take place at the Tahoe Biltmore Oct. 9-11 when 150 of the finest cars, trucks and motorcycles on the West coast arrive for the 10th annual North Lake Classic.
The event, sponsored by the Tahoe Biltmore and the Good Sam Safe Ride Club, will be an old -style Tahoe picnic and car show set amidst Tahoe’s fall colors, celebrating the beauty of classic cars and the way things used to be. Classic music will play all weekend, with a barbecue at Parkers Grill on the Biltmore’s patio.
The event starts on Friday at 11 a.m. with early-bird car owner and vendor registration and setup in the Biltmore parking lot. Food and drink specials will be available at the Biltmore in the car display and vendor area. At 9 p.m. the action moves inside the Biltmore for free entertainment by Ben Fuller on the casino floor.
On Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. all vehicles in the show will be on display for judging. This is the best time to view and vote for your favorite car for the Peoples Choice Award. Enjoy classic music, vendors and food and drink specials in the car show area. At 1 p.m. all show entrants will be invited inside the casino for a $200 video slot tournament and at 9 p.m. the Biltmore will feature a free Blues Monsters concert inside the Breeze Nightclub.
The cars will once again be on display for Sunday morning’s Parade of Winners. Best-of-show awards will be presented at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m. a fully restored 1954 Chevy pickup with a new scooter and motorized beach bike in the back — together valued at $25,000 — will be the grand prize in the fundraising raffle for the International Good Samaritans Safe Ride Program. Raffle tickets will be sold right up until the 2 p.m. drawing at $5 each, 5 tickets for $20 or 33 tickets for $100. Nine other prizes will be drawn, and the winner need not be present to win.
