It's springtime in Tahoe...
and the Powderhound is stoked to be able to get a tan while out on the slopes

The weather is always somewhat inconsistent this time of year, which adds to the excitement... Will it be a powder day? Sunny and warm with plenty of corn snow? Maybe both in one weekend.

Whatever the weather, spring in Tahoe is a laid-back time, with locals and visitors alike relaxing and enjoying the last of the ski season and the abundant sunshine. So come on out and enjoy it.

See you in Tahoe,

--The Powderhound

Spring 2009: Hot deals at Lake Tahoe ski resorts

As the weather warms and the days grow longer and longer, that legendary Tahoe snow phenomenon -- corn snow -- has started making an appearance at Lake Tahoe ski resorts. And since the early-March storms dropped a heaping helping of snow on the Tahoe Basin, this spring is shaping up to be a good one.

Lake Tahoe ski resorts are looking to capitalize, and are offering some great deals to skiers and snowboarders looking to get some late-season turns in.

Prices drop on next year's ski passes

It's the beginning of the end for this year's ski season as resorts looking to salvage what's left of an economically cold winter begin turning up the heat on skiers and riders with spring deals and discounts on next year's season passes.
