What do they say about March: It comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb?
That certainly seems to be holding true for the Lake Tahoe region this month. First we got over six feet of fresh snow at the ski resorts, providing some epic powder skiing and riding to locals and visitors lucky enough to experience it. And now we've had an extended stretch of mild weather that is setting us up for one of the Lake Tahoe area's best spring attractions -- corn snow.
On top of that, the earlier-than-normal switch to daylight savings time has given us another hour of daylight to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer in the evenings these days, meaning you can easily snowshoe in the morning, go for a bike ride during the day, hit the slopes for a couple hours in the afternoon, grab a bite to eat, and still have time left to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun set.
It's a great time of year to be in Tahoe, whether for a day or a lifetime, so make your plans to spend some time at the lake today.
Hot deals at Tahoe ski resorts this spring
As the weather warms and the days grow longer and longer, that legendary Tahoe snow phenomenon -- corn snow -- has started making an appearance at Lake Tahoe ski resorts. And since the early-March storms dropped a heaping helping of snow on the Tahoe Basin, this spring is shaping up to be a good one.
Lake Tahoe ski resorts are looking to capitalize, and are offering some great deals to skiers and snowboarders looking to get some late-season turns in.
