What's new in Tahoe this week?

It's all about the North Shore as the 2009 North Lake Tahoe SnowFest! celebration kicks off on Friday, Feb. 27, with a huge party at Squaw Valley USA. After that there are a million other things to do from polar bear swims and wacky human bowling to competitions for your dog.

Of course, with the recent storms and new snow, there's also the allure of great skiing and riding conditions at ski resorts all over the Tahoe Basin as well as in the backcountry. And if you don't ski or snowboard, there are always sledding and tubing hills, snowshoeing routes to explore, and hundreds of amazing restaurants to try.

Where can you find more information about all of this? On Tahoe.com of course. Let us be your one-stop shop to book your lodging and transportation to the Tahoe region, and help you plan your time once you're here.

See you in Tahoe,

--The Powderhound
