Freeride Photo Contest winner: Mike Staudenmeyer

And the winner is … Mike Staudenmeyer
Mike Staudenmeyer submitted, “SV Shadow,” to our online Squaw Freeride Photo Contest that began in January and wrapped up Monday.
Staudenmeyer, whose photo was chosen from more than 120 submissions, walks away with the following: Dinner for Two at Twenty Two Bistro in The Village at Squaw Valley; VIP party passes to the Freeride World Tour: Nissan Tram Face party; two lift tickets; and two pair of Scott Special Edition Freeride World Tour Goggles.
According to Staudenmeyer, the photo was taken on Dec. 26, 2008, on Squaw’s Red Dog Ridge, featuring Incline Village’s Steve Goates. He used a Nikon D90 set on F/11, and 1/1000s with shutter priority.
“It was some extraordinary snow that day,” Staudenmeyer said. “I did do some minor editing in Photoshop to play with the light and contrast, but did not move any snow around.”
