February to the rescue!
That's what the locals have been saying about the series of storms that have swept over the Tahoe Basin during the first few weeks of February, bringing much-needed new snow to the mountains and lake.
The blanket of white has made everything look beautiful again, and the ski resorts, entertainment venues and restaurants are geared up for a big month, especially considering that California's Ski-Skate Week is providing the perfect excuse to make a trip to Tahoe this week.
Get ready for SnowFest! 2009
After 28 years, SnowFest! is still getting bigger and better than ever. Mark you calendars for Feb. 27 - March 8 when the North Tahoe-Truckee area comes alive with nonstop activities and wild and zany events.
