The Lake Tahoe area is pretty darn photogenic. Rather obvious, I admit; but the point was driven home by the number and quality of submissions we received in our Fall Photo Contest this year — 389 photos to be exact.

So first off: Thank you to all the photographers who contributed to the gallery on Tahoe.com. It’s been a pleasure getting a glimpse of the artistic talent you all bring to the Tahoe region.

Now the hard part begins — voting.

We’ve done some of the work for you. Tahoe World and Tahoe.com editors have narrowed the field down to our favorite 24 photos of the bunch (a difficult choice, let me assure you). And now we want you, our readers, to sign on to Tahoe.com and vote for your favorite(s) by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28.

Here’s how you vote: Sign on to www.Tahoe.com/FallPhotoContest with your username and password* to view the gallery of finalists. Check out all the photos in the gallery — make sure you click on the individual thumbnails to see the full images — and leave a comment on any photo you want to vote for. Your comment can say anything you like.

Feel free to vote for (i.e. comment on) as many photos in the gallery as you’d like; however, multiple comments left by the same user on the same photo will only count as one vote (so don’t try to cheat). At 5 p.m. on Nov. 28, we will count all the unique comments left on all the photos in the finalists gallery and award the photographer with the most comments the grand prize — a three-day, two-night vacation package to Lake Tahoe for two adults.
