Tickets are on sale now for Passport to Dining, North Tahoe’s biggest restaurant showcase of the year.
The fourth annual event will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, from 6-9 p.m., at the North Tahoe Community Conference Center in Kings Beach. Tickets are $25 for North Tahoe Business Association members and $30 for non-members. Tickets include entrance into the event, tasters from 25 local restaurants and wineries, live music from Drinking with Clowns, silent and live auction, and a commemorative glass.
“This North Lake Tahoe community event has grown tremendously over the past three years, and this year promises to be the best yet,” said Cheri Sprenger, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association. “It’s a great opportunity to taste all that our local restaurants have to offer under one roof for a great price.”
This year’s event will raise money for the North Tahoe Family Resource Center, in addition to the North Tahoe Business Association.
Participating restaurants and wineries include Moody’s Bistro & Lounge, Caliente!, Soule Domain, Sol Y Lago, Las Panchitas, FiftyFifty Brewing, Blue Onion Café, CB’s Pizza & Grill, Spirits of Tahoe, Gar Woods, High Pointe Event Catering, Lanza’s, Tahoe Biltmore, Pacific Crest Grill, Java Hut, Twin Peaks Catering, Sobon Estates, El Sancho Taqueria, PlumpJack Squaw Valley, Lucchesi Vineyards, Cable Car Ice Cream, Nevada City Winery, Brutocao Vineyards and Xocai Healthy Chocolate.
Raffle and silent auction prizes at the event include season passes to local ski resorts, an overnight stay at Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey, Calif., a one-week timeshare vacation and a live music watercolor painted at the event.
