Blue Turtle Seduction — Sept. 4
The Valhalla Arts, Music & Theatre Festival brings back Blue Turtle Seduction to the stage of the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
Their latest album, "13 Floors," was hailed by Jambase as “an international rump shaker, an energized, brightly melodic mind-bomb that'd fit in speakeasies from The Appalachians to Kingston to Amsterdam and back to their home base in California.”
Blue Turtle Seduction came together in- and seems to be defined by- the mountain waters of Lake Tahoe. Their strengths lie within meaningful melodies and lyrics and their ability to regularly lift audiences to their feet, making their shows fun and energetic.
Mountain reggae, bluegrass, world music, organic hip-hop, funk and classical are probably the best genres to describe what most fans simply call “original.” “Just come to a show…” seems to be the fans’ cry, who have been growing in number since Blue Turtle Seduction began touring the Sierras in 2003.
Don’t miss the last chance of the season to catch Blue Turtle Seduction in the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre.
The concert begins at 7:30pm at the Boathouse Theatre. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for students, seniors, & military, and $5 for children. For tickets and more information, visit www.valhallatahoe.com or call (530) 541-4975.
