From gourmet dining to all-u-can-eat sushi, star gazing tours and outdoor movies on the big screen, see what's in store for the family this summer at Northstar.

Moody's Mondays
Guests of Northstar Resort can get a sneak preview of the coming fine dining experience in the Village at Northstar each Monday at "Moody's Mondays." Set to live jazz under the evening sky in the Village at Northstar, "Moody's Mondays" wine and dine guests with an ever-changing prix fixe menu by Chef Mark Estee of the Truckee-based Moody's Bistro & Lounge, who, in partnership with JJ Morgan, will be opening Baxter's Bistro & Lounge in the Village at Northstar in December of 2008. Reservations for Moody's Mondays can be made by calling Moody's Bistro & Lounge at 530-587-8688. Cost for adults is $45 per person, $15 for children 12 and under.

Music & Mikuni Thursday Nights
An intense sushi experience! This all-you-can-eat buffet features Mikuni's culinary creations served on the plaza at the Village at Northstar. Live music sets the tone for the fish feast. Tickets can be purchased from Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar in the Village at Northstar and cost $35 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under. Dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m.

Star Gazing Tour
Summertime visitors to Lake Tahoe are forever in awe of the night sky with its sheer number of stars and constellations. Visitors who want to explore the night sky in detail this summer can join a Star Gazing Tour with Tony Berendsen, President of the Nevada Science Coalition. The tour includes a laser tour of the stars and constellations, a telescope viewing, a poem and a fun space quiz with prizes. Cost is $25 for adults, $15 for children. Reservations can be made online or by calling Northstar Resort. Star Gazing Tours will take place on July 25, July 26, Aug. 1, Aug. 2, Aug. 22, Aug. 23, Aug. 29, Aug. 30, Sept. 12, and Sept. 13 and meet at the Starbucks in the Village at Northstar at 8:30 p.m.

Movie Nights
Three nights a week, the main plaza at Village at Northstar turns into a cinema. Friday nights are Date Night - grab someone you're close to and cuddle up to a classic comedy or box office blockbuster. Saturday nights are Dramedy Night - laugh along with a comedy or shed a tear with a drama film. Sunday nights are for Families with new and old family-friendly films. Movie nights are free to the public and chairs are provided. A full movie schedule is online at www.NorthstarAtTahoe.com. All movies begin 15 minutes after sunset.

Wine Walks
Summertime wine walks offer a taste of California wine country in the Sierra Nevada mountains. On July 30 and Aug. 27, guests can wander around the Village at Northstar to enjoy wine tasting from several Northern California wineries. Tickets can be purchased in the Village at Northstar at the Season Pass office for $20 per person which includes tastings at all the locations and a commemorative wine glass. Wine walks will take place from 3-6 p.m.

Guided Hikes
Northstar Resort is offering free guided hikes on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer with a mountain expert. The hikes are an opportunity for guests to learn about Northstar Resort's flora and fauna, 16 scenic hiking trails, and 100+ miles of mountain biking trails. Perfect for the weekend retreat with the family or flying solo, these guided hikes meet Saturday and Sundays at 11 a.m. at the top of the Gondola by the Information sign. Hikers can pick up a complimentary hiking ticket at the Season Pass office or at Plaza Bikes in the Village at Northstar.

Retro Skate Nights
There are few things that say summertime fun like roller skating. Add in your best costume from the 70's or 80's and you get Retro Skate Night - one of the most popular summertime evenings in North Lake Tahoe. With drink specials at the cabana bars, $5 skate rentals, groovy music and a $50 cash prize for the best retro costume, Retro Skate Night is a summer night to remember.
