Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Battaglia-Beley as the General Manager at the award-winning Lone Eagle Grille.
With more than four years of food and beverage experience with Hyatt hotels, including Hyatt Valencia, Hyatt Regency San Francisco and Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Battaglia-Beley brings both a passion for the hospitality industry as well as a varied background in banquet and restaurant management to Lone Eagle Grille.
A native of Connecticut, Battaglia-Beley spent her high school and early college years assisting with her neighbors’ small farm. Resourceful at an early age, Battaglia-Beley’s innovative marketing efforts and creative website development on behalf of the fruit and vegetable farm produced a loyal regional following before the farm transitioned into one of Connecticut’s first, successful wineries.
After graduating with a degree in Business Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Battaglia-Beley joined the Hyatt team as an operations intern at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. Following her training, Battaglia-Beley was quickly promoted to assistant restaurant manager for the hotel.
During the next four years, Battaglia-Beley climbed the Hyatt ranks, rising from Food & Beverage Manager of the Eclipse Café at Hyatt Regency San Francisco to Executive Steward for the entire hotel. Battaglia-Beley then accepted a position as Banquet Manager at the Hyatt Valencia, where she excelled at implementing new training programs and service enhancements.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to the Lone Eagle Grille,” says David Lockard, director of food & beverage of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort. “Sarah’s management experience at other Hyatt Regency properties and her extensive knowledge of restaurant and food and beverage operations make her a real asset to our team. With her fresh outlook and innovative approach combined with Lone Eagle Chef Mark May’s new menu, we anticipate great things from this revitalized team.”
In her new position, Battaglia-Beley looks forward to bringing her dynamic leadership skills to the already well-honed service staff at the award-winning Lone Eagle Grille. An area well-known for the international staff it draws each season, Battaglia-Beley is particularly enthusiastic about guiding these new staff in the highest level of service to continue to provide Hyatt’s warm and authentic hospitality. In addition, she hopes to contribute her fresh culinary perspective and broad understanding of food and beverages operations, while overseeing the restaurant and lounge.
“I’m so excited to join the team at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort,” says Battaglia-Beley. “The combination of the resort’s spectacular setting on the shores of Lake Tahoe, the professional, personalized service and Chef Mark May’s sophisticated American cuisine, make the Lone Eagle Grille such a remarkable place. I plan to do my part to take Lone Eagle Grille to the next level, creating an unforgettable experience for the visitors and locals who dine here.”
Battaglia-Beley has received several accolades by Hyatt Hotels including, "Manager of the Quarter” at Hyatt Valencia and “Manager of the Month” at Hyatt Regency San Francisco. An outdoor enthusiast, Sarah looks forward to enjoying kayaking and hiking in her new Lake Tahoe home, while continuing to train for marathons and half-marathons on her days off.
