The first annual “Sweet Soirée” – an event presented by The Ritz-Carlton Club, Lake Tahoe to benefit Arts For The Schools Tuesday, June 17 - was a sweet success for everyone involved.
Held at the Wild Goose Restaurant, the local community was invited to indulge in a tasting of delectable desserts prepared by the area’s finest pastry chefs. Event goers enjoyed an evening of fine desserts, cocktails, live music and socializing with friends. All event participants were able to vote for their favorite sweet treats. There was also a cookie decorating activity for children.
Participating restaurants included Big Water Grille, Cottonwood Restaurant, Dragonfly, Graham's at Squaw Valley, Christy Hill Restaurant, Le Bistro, Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Pianeta Ristorante, PlumpJack Café and The Wild Goose. The chefs were vying for both a Critic’s and People’s Choice award of Tahoe’s Best Dessert.

Sharon Dixon of Truckee, Calif. was the raffle drawing grand prize winner – Sharon won a two-night stay at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco
