Resort at Squaw Creek’s PGA professional golf staff is launching a series of instructional clinics for women and juniors designed to improve technique, and enhance the player’s understanding of the game.
Beginning Thursday, June 26 and continuing every Thursday thereafter through Aug. 28, clinics will be available for a fee of $15 each. Junior’s clinics, for ages 4-17, take place from 1 – 2 p.m. Women’s clinics take place from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Advanced reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 530-581-6637.
The clinics will develop the participant’s short game via instruction on chipping, putting and bunker play, and long game. Etiquette and rules of the game will also be covered. Resort at Squaw Creek also offers individual lessons and group lessons by request, along with rental equipment.
In addition to lessons, Creek Cards are available for $100, which give the cardholder 50-percent off every round played, plus a free bucket of range balls, free valet, and use of a shared cart. Twilight rates and special “Junior” rates for children ages 17-and-under at $45, and $28 for twilight play, which begins at 3:30 p.m.
Resort at Squaw Creek’s par-71, links-style meadowland course is Audubon certified for its environmental stewardship. The course offers several challenging holes, including the scenic 6th Hole, which features an over-the-water approach.
