Luis Miguel is an international star who is known for both his beautifully produced albums and amazing live performances. With over 90 million in LP and CD sales, he is considered Latin America’s most popular performer, and is the only Latino artist to have two Spanish language albums, Romance and Segundo Romance, to go Platinum in the United States.
Miguel also boasts a total of 34 Platinum albums, based on sales throughout South and Central America. He has won a total of five Grammy Awards, including two for Best Male Pop Vocals and Best Pop Album (Amarte Es un Place) at the first annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2000. In 2003 he was given another honor when he was nominated as Favorite Latin Artist at the American Music Awards. He is touring to support his 2008 release, Cómplices.
