Beat your mortgage and buy a $150 raffle ticket through Aug. 15 to help support the Boys & Girls Club of South Lake Tahoe and you'll be entered for a chance to win a new home.
The home is a 2,100 sq. ft. three bedroom, two and a half bath with mountain and forest views in a quiet neighborhood. A perfect year-round and vacation home, it’s located just 15 minutes from downtown activities, the lake and award-winning ski resorts.
“We figured, if California can use a state lottery to allocate funds, a registered raffle for our annual fundraising event would be appropriate,” teased Karen Houser, spokesperson for Lake Tahoe Boys & Girls Club. “Besides, with the maximum number of tickets limited to 12,000, the chance to win a $650,000 home is more encouraging.”
The drawing for the home will be held on Sunday, Aug. 15. If fewer than 7,000 raffle tickets are sold, the grand prize winner will receive $100,000 in cash. Participants in the raffle must be a legal resident, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry to purchase tickets, to be a ticket holder or to win a prize. To claim their prize, entrants will be required to show state or government issued photo identification. A valid taxpayer identification number will also be required from prizewinners.
