Resort at Squaw Creek will open the scenic “Back Nine” of their meadowland Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Championship Golf Course on May 24. Special early season rates apply, offering unlimited golf for $50 per day through May 26. Twilight rates, which begin at 3:30 p.m., are $25. The course will remain open through Memorial Day Weekend, and then reopen with 18 holes on June 3.
“Our grounds crew has been getting a great jump on course preparation this year,” said Eric Veraguth director of golf at Resort at Squaw Creek. “The course is greening up nicely and we should have very good conditions considering it is early season for us.”
On-staff PGA professionals offer lessons, with a series of weekly junior clinics for children ages 5-17 offered over the summer months.
A Creek Card ($100) is available, which offers golfers 50-percent of each round of golf played, plus complimentary valet parking, a shared cart and a bucket of range balls per day. A season pass ($1,100), featuring unlimited rounds of golf, all the benefits of the Creek Card, and exclusive discounts at other Destination Hotels & Resorts properties, is offered, too. For more information, reservations, or a complete list of rates, call 530-581-6637, or visit www.visitsquawcreek.com.
Resort at Squaw Creek’s par-71 links-style golf course has earned the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary certification, a designation that honors outstanding environmental stewardship. No pesticides or chemicals are utilized in the maintenance of the course, so the course is truly “green.”
