Dance to Big Band classics Saturday, May 24 at Granlibakken Resort in Tahoe City, Calif. to benefit Lake Tahoe Music Festival.

Returning for another year, the 19-piece Chops Big Band brings their mix of swing, jump, jazz and dance tunes together for an unforgettable evening benefiting the Lake Tahoe Music Festival and its Educational Outreach Programs.

Featured at the San Jose Jazz Festival and the San Francisco Jazz Festival's Stanford Summer Jazz Series, Chops has been a fixture on the Bay Area music scene for more than 15 years. Combining saxophone, trumpet and trombone sounds with a solid rhythm section, the band performs songs by music legends Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald along with popular favorites from the likes of Harry Connick Jr. and Natalie Cole.

Big Band Dance Night starts at 8 p.m. Reserved tables are available and individual tickets just $25 with a no-host bar. Tickets are also available at the door. To purchase tickets or for additional details call 530-583-3101.

Big Band Dance Night is produced and sponsored by festival friends Granlibakken Resort and the West Shore Association.
