Camps
Kirkwood JAM Day Camps, July 19, Aug. 16 and 23, Sept. 6
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on four Saturdays this summer kids have all the fun at Kirkwood's themed summer day camps which include a hike, outside activity, craft project and games at the pool! Bring your lunch and swimsuit then leave the rest up to us! Advance reservations are a must and each camp requires a minimum of six kids.
Overnight JAM Camp, July 26 & 27
This fun-filled camp is for kids ages 7 – 12 and involves camping out at the bottom of Chair 4 in the footprint of the historic Mormon Emigrant Trail. Camp runs from Noon Saturday to noon Sunday where kids enjoy a good old fashioned campfire
evening, complete with supper, s’mores and stories before retiring for some shut eye under the stars. The following day includes a hike, games, swimming at the pool and practicing skills learned the day before. The camp tends to fill up quickly so early registration is a must.
Other Kid Stuff
Kids Bike Parade & Ice Cream Social, July 4
Parade from 1–2 p.m. Kids bring their bikes to the playground to decorate with streamers, balloons, sparkles and more then ride the obstacle course to the General Store for an ice cream cone - mom and dad’s treat!
Volunteer Fire Department’s BBQ & Kids Carnival, July 5
Come to the Village Plaza for great food, beer & wine tasting. Kid’s activities include bounce house, magic tricks, balloon sculptures and face painting. Adult entry fee includes commemorative wine or beer glass. Sorry no pets. Entry fees: Adult $35, 18 and under $12.
5K/10K Race and Kids Fun Run, Aug. 30
Starting at 9 a.m. sponsored by Tahoe Mountain Milers and Sagebrush Stompers Running Clubs. Register at www.tahoemtnmilers.org or Saturday morning before 8:30 a.m. at the VIP lot.
