Squaw Valley USA is setting a new tradition for the 2008-09 winter season. Now, college students can ride all season for only $299. Better yet, purchase your pass before May 11, 2008 and ride for free this spring.

This pass comes with an array of perks including skiing and riding through the remainder of the 2007/08 season, night skiing, and the Pool & Spa at High Camp, el. 8200'. The 2008/09 Squaw College Pass is valid Sunday through Friday, with regular holiday blackout dates, and is on sale now at Squaw Valley’s Special Tickets office.

Squaw's College Pass gives college students access to Lake Tahoe's most sought-after terrain (4,000 skiable acres, six peaks, 16 open bowls via 34 lifts) for only $299. Squaw’s expansive terrain, state-of-the-art lift network, and convenient parking allow skiers and riders to spend less time commuting from the parking lot to the lifts, less time combating crowds on congested slopes and terrain parks, and more time skiing and riding.

Squaw Valley USA’s seasoned terrain park builders have transformed previously un-utilized terrain to expand the Riviera terrain park into a natural and unnatural jib paradise. Tree-jibs, log-rides, stump-bonks, a medium triple jump-line and large triple jump-line are among the features that make up the Riviera Terrain Park that will be open next season for night riding until 9 pm.

"I had such a great time this season at events like the Subaru Freeskiing Tour, 48Straight, and the Sessions Log Jam. I even spent a lot of time in the terrain parks (mainly Belmont), and we want to college students to enjoy Squaw Valley too. Therefore, we have created a College Pass for intellectuals only (full-time students) - something we've never done in our 59 years," says Nancy W. Cushing Squaw Valley USA Chairman & CEO.

In 2008/09 Squaw Valley is set to host world-class competitions by day and high energy concerts by night. The après scene at Squaw Valley USA is as legendary as the mountain itself and with a new night park, increased snowmaking, and added value programs for season passholders in the works for 2008/09, now is a better time than ever for college students to become Squaw Valley passholders

To purchase the $299 College Pass, full-time students must bring current school photo ID, a copy of course registration, and an official signed letter from school registrar stating full-time student status to Squaw Valley’s Special Tickets office. Students who purchase their 2008/09 College Pass now can take advantage of riding though the end of this season, but please note that the required information and updated proof of full-time student status must be brought to Special Tickets to revalidate in the fall.

The Squaw College Pass is valid every Sunday through Friday, with regular holiday blackout dates in the 2008/09 season. The College Pass is valid for the remainder of the 2007/08 season, and is on sale now at Squaw Valley’s Special Tickets office. For more information on the $299 College Pass call Special Tickets at 530-452-7123.
