Ski season's winding down for 2007-08, but there's still a few Lake Tahoe resorts holding on to the best spring conditions in the country.
Northstar-at-Tahoe
Spring It On this weekend at Northstar-at-Tahoe. Saturday, April 19 spring skiing takes on a new dimension with Northstar's pond skimming event. Village activities to include live music, BBQ on Overlook Deck, drink specials, and roller skating! Three contests will be ongoing at mid-mountian next to the Superpipe throughout the day. Anyone can register the day of the events on the Gondola Deck as long as they sign a waiver (under 18 must have a guardian signature). 10-11 a.m.: Hand Plant Contest; 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.: 150' Infinity Box Contest; 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.: Pond Skim. Also this week, special tax day tickets $15 on April 15, visit www.northstarattahoe.com for more details.
Squaw Valley USA
The hot tub at High Camp, as well as the poolside bar and swimming pool, are still open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of the season at Squaw Valley USA. Plus, take advantage of half priced drinks at Zenbu Lounge for ladies Thursday night and heaps of free music over the weekend. Friday DJ Dreddy J mixes free beats in the Zenbu Lounge and Saturday Saul Kaye performs a free set in the Village from 2-5 p.m. www.squaw.com
