Saturday, April 19 MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa will host its seventh annual Earth Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Events include a full day of educational and environmental booths, arts and crafts, kid’s activities, food and live music. One goal of every Earth Day Festival is to produce Zero Waste at the end of the event. To achieve this, food vendors provide compostable to-go containers and live music and entertainment is powered by a special biofueled stage. An Earth Day Raffle is held around 3 p.m. followed by the headliner band (to be announced).
This event is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers, public agencies, local businesses and non-profits, and has become one of the largest public environmental events of the year in the Lake Tahoe area.
Funds raised for Earth Day go towards environmental and global education, outreach, and special environmentally-oriented projects for local children as part of the Festival day of fun.
