Old World entertainment of all kinds takes on three stages at the Valhalla Renaissance Faire in Camp Richardson, just outside of South Lake Tahoe, held May 31-June 1 and June 7-8. Scores of merchants and more than 1,000 actors will convene on the shores of Lake Tahoe for this enchanting event.
Witness hard-hitting, lance-splitting jousting by the Knights of Avalon, live sword fighting, educational demonstrations and children's games. Jugglers, magicians and minstrels entertain the crowd at all times and a variety of food and beverages will be available as well.
Every year Lake Tahoe’s Camp Richardson is transformed into a 16th Century European Country Faire when the Valhalla Renaissance Faire opens to the public. Valhalla Renaissance Faire is a wonderful combination of amusement park, shows, comedy, music, feats of daring, street performers, shopping and indulging. Costumed players perform in the streets, in the shady lanes and byways, and shopkeepers hawk their wares in the market lanes.
And this year, Valhalla’s favorite jousting troupe is back! Knights of Avalon are coming back to add their comedy and pageantry to the West Coast’s favorite Faire stage. All the Faire's a stage! The Festival is spread out over 7 acres, and it is easy to spend an entire day there. For more information, visit http://www.valhallafaire.com">www.valhallafaire.com.
