Kick Off Celebration for Snow Festival, 6-7:30 p.m.
Fireworks, parties and the coronation of the Snow Festival Queen is all happening in the Events Plaza at Squaw Valley during Kick Off Celebration 2008. As night falls, catch laser displays, a torchlight parade and DJ music on the deck featuring Space Cowboys and the Unimog.
Sunday, March 2
Tails by the Lake Doggie Agility Course, registration 11:30 a.m.; event Noon
K9 competitors maneuver through snow-made fire hydrants, a snow tunnel and jump bone-shaped hurdles before sliding to the finish on a snowy ramp in this crazy canine contest. Prizes awarded to first through third. Proceeds to benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Gift bags to all participants from Tails by the Lake. $10 entry fee.

Tricycle Races, 2 p.m.
Be a kid again and pedal through the cobblestone streets of The Village at Squaw on a giant-sized tricycle. Best times win! Free to enter.
