In celebration of National Safety Awareness Week Jan. 19-25, Diamond Peak held a special National Safety Poster Contest and has announced the winners!
Nine-year-old Serena got first place and won a Diamond Peak 08/09 season pass for her NSAA Safety Poster submission through Ms. Arcaris-Weiss’ class at the Lake Tahoe School. Nine-year-old Elle received second place and has won a Diamond Peak 2-day transferable mini-pass. Third place went to 8 ¾-year- old Ella who won a pair of Diamond Peak lift tickets!
The Diamond Peak panel of judges chose Serena’s poster for first place because of its creative design, originality and best safety message portrayed. On top of that, Serena’s poster and others will be submitted in the NSAA National Contest; winners of the national contest will be announced in April 2008.
Come to Diamond Peak this week to celebrate National Safety Awareness Week and see the winning posters displayed in the Diamond Peak base lodge. Diamond Peak would like everyone to remember that skiing can be enjoyed in many ways and that it’s best to be familiar with “Your Responsibility Code” and Smart Style elements when hitting the slopes. Celebrate outdoor fun with the whole family and Diamond Peak’s number one priority - safety!
Thank you to all participants in the NSAA Safety Poster Contest. For more information regarding National Safety Awareness Week or more special events at Diamond Peak, please visit www.diamondpeak.com or call 775-832-1177.
