Squaw Valley is busy gearing up for the upcoming ski and snowboard season but there’s still plenty to do on the mountain. While dreaming of falling snow and powder turns, we’re glad there are so many exciting fall events to hold us over until November 17, 07/08 Winter Season Opening Day.
September 22
Tahoe Sierra Century Bike Race
The century ride includes incredibly scenic as well as challenging terrain. The ride begins in Squaw Valley, follows along the beautiful north shore of Lake Tahoe, Brockway Summit, the Tahoe Donner area, Donner Lake, Donner Summit, and finishes back in Squaw Valley.
There will be three routes: 100-miles, 60-miles, and 30-miles. All rides start and end at Squaw Valley USA near Lake Tahoe off Hwy 89. Extensive parking is available, but there is no overnight camping at the venue.

6th Annual Village Oktoberfest
Bavarian revelry, food, drink and live music returns to The Village at Squaw Valley USA's 6th annual Oktoberfest celebration from 2-6 p.m. Joe Smiell and his 20-piece Bavarian Band will play classic favorites, while the Dancers perform time-honored, traditional dance. German DJ Marshall Herman will round out the afternoon's musical lineup with more music and games. All entertainment at the event is free. Spaten Premium lager, Spaten Oktoberfest, Radeberger Pilsner, Franziskaner will be served during the event. Guests must be 21 years or older with valid ID to consume alcohol.
