Annual Tahoe Rim Trail back country camps
Tahoe.com
The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is planning for our annual Tahoe Rim Trail Back Country Camps to be held Aug. 31 - Sept 3. We will meet at 6 p.m. near Armstrong Pass Friday, Aug. 31, for dinner and afternoon hikes. We will begin trail maintenance first thing Saturday morning. The public is invited to participate in this event.
The cost of the camp is $25 per person and $15 for children under 12. The fee includes all meals, snacks, and a kitchen crew to prepare everything for all participating volunteers. Participants need to bring personal camping equipment, long pants, long sleeves and prepare for a fun weekend in the back country. Advance registration is required.
Back Country Camps are an excellent way to spend time in the back country with friends and family while giving back to the community. They provide an excellent opportunity to learn how to build and maintain trail while enjoying back country cooking from some of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association's finest volunteer cooks.
For more information or to register for the camps, please contact Michael Alvino at (757) 298-0239 or e-mail michaela@tahoerimtrail.org">michaela@tahoerimtrail.org.
