Video blog from the Tahoe Rim Trail

Tahoe.com
At just about one quarter of the way around the Tahoe Rim Trail, our intrepid group has already experienced some amazing highs and challenging lows.
We hit our highest point — 10,338 feet atop Relay Peak on the northeast corner of the trail — and hiked back and forth from one aspect of the rim to the other, seeing north into Truckee, the Sierra Buttes and even Mount Lassen. To the east we’ve looked over the Carson Valley and Washoe Lake. And of course, the views of Lake Tahoe have been incomparable.
But we’ve also faced challenges, from crippling blisters to exploding backpacks, not to mention plenty of hard hiking.
Between the drive of all my fellow hikers, and the constant support of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, none of those obstacles have stopped us yet.
Soon we will be rounding South Lake Tahoe and working our way into Desolation Wilderness.
Video blog: While hiking, Greyson kept a running video blog from the trail. Use the video player below to navigate through each day's video blog entry.
