On the Hill: Riding the Rails at Boreal
  • On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe’s ski conditions every day.

    Today’s activity: Join Tahoe ‘On the Hill’ reporter Jenna Andrews for some tricks at Boreal’s progression park. From base lodge you can access 4 out of 6 main lifts and Woodward At Tahoe. Enjoy partly cloudy skies with a slight breeze and fresh groomed runs. Bring warm and cold layers as temperatures are changing throughout the day and night.

    Boreal official report: 0″ new snow in past 24 hours. 6″ snow in last storm. 45″ base and 144″ for season total.

    Field report: 7 out of 7 lifts operating with two lifts operating for night riding. Three terrain parks are open, and beginner runs are the perfect learn to ski/ride atmosphere.

    Weather: Partly cloudy with a high of 42 and low of 32 degrees. Breezy with southwest winds 5 to 13 mph.

    Liftline status: Little wait time at most lifts.

    Snowcast: NOAA is telling us to expect scattered rain and snow showers after 10 p.m. Lots of wind coming; a southwest wind will be 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50% and any new snow accumulation will be probably less than a half inch.
