On the Hill: Hike to Taylor Creek
  • On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different Lake Tahoe adventure every day.

Today’s activity: Hike to Taylor Creek.

About the hike: Leaving from the Taylor Creek Visitor’s Center where the parking is free, the Rainbow Trail is gentle paved walk through the forest and meadows and it’s only about a half a mile. Michelle shows us why this trail is perfect for families, with interpretive signs and benches that let you enjoy the sights. Today’s weather: Just another balmy summer day at Lake Tahoe, with temps in the low 80s and a 30 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Get out in the cool of the day, and you’ve got the perfect summer adventure. — National Weather Service
