On the Hill: Lake Tahoe's Paved Bike Path
  • On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different Lake Tahoe adventure every day.

Today’s activity: Lake Tahoe’s paved bike paths.

About the ride: here are miles of paved trails around Lake Tahoe, and Drew Hanley takes on a section near Hwy 50 in South Lake Tahoe. Perfect for strolling, riding and jogging, these trails get lots of use, so when you’re riding make sure to yield to those on foot. You can make the ride as long or as short as you want; there are many places to put in at so it’s up to you. Check out this map from the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition to see the full network of trails.

Today’s weather: We’re looking at temps in the high 80s all weekend, with no rain but some decent winds at about 12 mph — National Weather Service
