Celebrate New Year's Eve with Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts

Heavenly
Beginning at 6:00pm on New Years Eve, Heavenly Mountain Resort has a full line up of entertainment for the night. The Festivities will include music from the LA Allstars, Fire Groove dancers, KRLT Radio’s Steve Harness as MC, and a unique ice sculpting performance from Fear No Ice. The heavenly village will also be filled with attractions such as Ice sculptures, face painting, a photo booth, and a snowboard simulator.
The Gondola Ball Drop will be timed for 9:00 to correspond with the East Coast. The Ball Drop will be followed by a fireworks show.
Northstar California
Welcome in 2013 with music, activities, and drinks at Northstar Ski Resort! With events starting at 12:00pm and continuing after the ball drop at 9:00pm, New Years Eve will be a fun an exciting day for all ages.
DJ Fidjital will be performing on the Village Stage near the Ice Skating rink from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. After a short break, the Ripperroo Parade will travel through the village at 4:45. Kids will be able to enjoy noisemakers, beads, meeting Ripperroo, and plenty of other activities. Beginning at 7:00pm “Livin’ on a Prayer” – a Bon Jovi Tribute, will bring in the new year with classics that made Bon Jovi one of the biggest rock stars in the world. After the ball drops at 9:00pm a special encore performance will follow a spectacular fireworks display.
Squaw Valley
Celebrate this New Year’s Eve at 8200 feet! Join Squaw Valley for a buffet dinner, music and dancing for all ages. Located at High Camp at the top of Squaw Valley Mountain, a Cable Car ride to the camp starts an evening of entertainment and celebration. At 9 pm a New Year’s Champagne toast (with apple cider for the kids) will be timed for the ball drop on the East Coast. After the toast, a short ride will return you to the village to view a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm. Reservations for this celebration are required. Email abarker@squaw.com to reserve a spot. Tickets are $59 for adults, and $39 for children 12 and under (Aerial Tram tickets are sold separately).

If you are celebrating New Year’s Eve at Squaw Valley without children, then the East Coast New Year’s Eve bash at the Olympic House is the place to be. The Olympic House is known to host the biggest party on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. This year’s party will be host to two DJ’s and a live band spreading across the entire lodge and all the bars in the area. The party starts after the ball drops on the East Coast at 9 pm and continues until 1:30 am. The cover charge for the event is $10 (cash only) and 21 or older with a valid ID only.
Alpine Meadows
Kick off the New Year’s Eve festivities at the Alpine Bar from 2-5pm on December 31st. Get ready for the countdown to midnight with other Alpine Meadows skiers and snowboarders and enjoy festive cocktails and live music.
Kirkwood
Bring in the New Year while celebrating Kirkwood Resort’s 40th Birthday! Join Kirkwood for festivities including fireworks, parties, music, the annual Torchlight Parade, and much more. The full line-up for the NYE/Birthday bash will be announced soon.
