35th Annual Freaker's Ball at MontBleu
A $10,000 cash prize and a wild night full of surreal costume get-ups that are guaranteed to make more than a few heads spin returns to MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa (www.montbleuresort.com) with Lake Tahoe’s legendary Halloween event, the 34th annual Freaker’s Ball, Saturday, Oct. 26.
For more than three decades MontBleu (formally Ceasar’s) has hosted the largest, weirdest Halloween costume party, long considered one of the West Coast’s favorites. Spread out over three MontBleu venues — Opal, Blu and the Convention Center — partygoers can get one admission ticket and get in on the lunacy that drives this freaky gathering of costumed misfits until the sun comes up.
Besides all the flare, farce, crack-ups and contests that give the Freaker’s Ball its attitude, MontBleu will unleash new venues including The Haunted Zone and Party Pit to add to the already outrageous lineup. And of course it wouldn’t be a Freaker’s Ball without exotic go-go dancers, spooked-out decor, freakish cocktail concoctions and the funky fashion costume contest with a $10,000 purse.
The revelry is wild with past costumes known to feature the likes of a 16-foot clown, Lady Gaga lookalikes, the entire Addams Family, decks of playing cards, a human lobster bib and dozens of zombified super heroes. With more than 2,500 party-goers expected, the event will sell-out fast. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.montbleuresort.com, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (888) 829-7630.
Tickets: $25 advance or $30 day of show
