This Labor Day weekend, August 31 through September 1, West Shore Café & Inn will host a unique event to celebrate a rare blue moon, which is traditionally know as the second full moon in a calendar month–a very rare occurrence. The Sierra Sun reports:
HOMEWOOD, Calif. — Lake Tahoe’s West Shore Café & Inn invites lunar revelers to the summer’s most anticipated lakefront party, the Blue Moon Rising Blue + White Ball, set for Friday, Aug. 31.
“The Blue Moon Rising Blue + White Ball is expected to be one of the summer’s most well-attended events,” said Rob Curtis, general manager of West Shore Café & Inn. “With the party’s festivities, live music, lakefront patio and pier dining, and rarity of a blue moon rise, this event is certain to offer a magical, unforgettable Tahoe experience,” he added. The West Shore Café & Inn, which is well-known as one of the Tahoe region’s best locations for viewing the moonrise, hosts a party for each full moon.
