A beautiful day at Hidden Beach

There are only so many days out of the year when the beaches and hot and the sky is clear. As September nears, so does the cold weather. So don’t let your Lake Tahoe vacation slip through your fingertips. Spend a few more days on the beach. With the clarity of Hawaii and the white sands of Florida, Lake Tahoe tops them all with beautiful mountains and towering evergreens. Nothing says summertime like a boat or jet-ski rental out on the crystal-clear blue water. Check out our beaches map.

To find Hidden Beach, pictured above, take Highway 28 south to Memorial Point Visitors Center parking lot, about half a mile north of Sand Harbor, and find street parking, but beware of the no parking signs, the rangers are serious business. Just walk along the highway till you see the sandy beach, only visible when you peer over the guard rail. This beach is phenomenal with water levels low, and the sand is amazing. Note: Hidden Beach IS clothing optional.
