Children's Environmental Science Day
  • Comparing sediment sizes and learning about urban runoff

Children’s Environmental Science Day is a free community event held annually for children (ages 6 and up) and their families. The event includes hands-on science activities designed to create an awareness of the unique ecology of Lake Tahoe and provide an opportunity for young and old alike to learn about environmental and Earth science.

The event is hosted by UC Davis scientists, staff, and local agencies and organizations of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Join us for science activities, games, crafts, and demonstrations. Come learn with your child!

This year’s event is the 15th annual and will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 1 – 4 p.m. Please contact Heather Segale, education and outreach director at (775) 881-7562 or hmsegale@ucdavis.edu for more information.
