This weekend is full of large events from Truckee to South Lake and beyond. Here are a few events to check out this weekend.
Lake Tahoe Paddle Festival
June 23-24 – Help raise awareness and enjoy a weekend of workshops, activities, food and family entertainment. Try the growing sport of standup paddling on a demo paddle board or relax in a canoe or kayak.
Reno Rodeo
June 16-25 – The 4th largest and richest rodeo in North America, the Reno Rodeo offers more than $2.5 million to the world’s toughest cowboys and cowgirls.
Truckee Chili Cookoff
June 24 – Truckee Sunrise Rotary Club will hold the Third Annual Truckee Chili Cookoff, a community fundraiser providing a day of inexpensive family fun with chili tasting, non-stop entertainment, food and beverages and a host of activities for adults and children.
Tahoe City’s Solstice Festival
June 15-24 Tahoe City Downtown Association’s Annual event, featuring fireworks and Street Dance, Father’s Day Concert on the Tahoe Gal, Classic Car Stroll, Mark Twain Mystery, Aaron Wilson Comedy, Concerts at Commons Beach opening day, and weeklong Adventure Sports activities.
Lake Tahoe Adventure Sports Week Returns June 15-24
June 15-24 – This annual event is perfect for an active lifestyle. Bring the family and challenge yourself with a variety of competitive adventure sports, from trail running, to mountain biking, triathlon, stand up paddle boarding and swimming. Then take the family out for relaxing evenings.
