Calling all bike enthusiasts, mark June 3 down on your calendars and make sure you bike is tuned up for the 21st annual America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe. More than 3,300 cyclists will participate in this years event, which helps promote the Lake Tahoe Bikeway project, a master plan to construct and connect all the bike lanes around Lake Tahoe. This event is unique in that in that it offers varying routes of difficulty. For experienced riders, try the 35-mile half loop. For more conditioned riders, try the 72-mile full loop. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — On June 3, more than 3,300 bicycling enthusiasts from all over the country will participate in the 21st annual America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe, event organizers stated in a press release. This ride is a tour, not a race, and promotes the Lake Tahoe Bikeway project, the master plan to construct and connect all the bike lanes around Lake Tahoe and is fully supported, offering rest stops with food and beverages. It is staffed by volunteers from various organizations and professionally managed by experienced ride organizers. The event is sold out.

Bicyclists will ride three different tour options, based on their ability level, with all rides starting and finishing from the Horizon Casino Resort, located on U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
