Enjoying Drinks at the Northstar firepit bar

What is après-ski you ask? Après-ski is what you do after a long day on the slopes. It’s a drink with friends or pizza by the lake. Lake Tahoe is well know for its après–ski culture. Many restaurants and bars will cater to your appetite brought on by a long day of physical activity. Here are a few of our favorite après-ski ideas.

Grap a few plates at Bite American Tapas
North Lake Tahoe’s Bite American Tapas serves delightful small plate meals, designed for one or to share. Enjoy an extensive wine list, craft beers, cocktails and live music on select nights with your meal.

Sit around the fire and share some ski stories at PlumpJack Cafe
The PlumpJack Bar and PlumpJack Cafe in Olympic Valley, California provide the perfect setting for a casual meal or a celebratory night out. The PlumpJack Bar serves lunch through late dinner inside by the fireplace in winter, and outside on the sun-drenched patio in summer.

Enjoy a glass of fine wine at Uncorked at Squaw
Uncorked at Squaw features fine wines, cheeses and wine accessories in the Village at Squaw Valley. Join them for wines by the glass, cheese plates, wine tastings, live music, and “Meet the Winemaker” events each weekend.

Share some pizza with friends at Lakeside Pizza, Sports Bar & Nightclub
Lakeside is the place in North Lake Tahoe for great pizza and nightlife. Open  for lunch, dinner and entertainment that includes DJ dancing, live music, and special events.

Enjoy a Burrito at Mountain Burrito Company
Serving mountain-sized burritos, zesty salsas, monstrous salads, frosty beers and more, Mountain Burrito is the ideal place to curb that craving, whether it is for food or drink!

Or for those rougher days, a massage at one of Tahoe’s many Spas
