A few inches of new snow in Lake Tahoe could be the difference between a good day and great day on the slopes. Here’s what local community is saying today about last nights surprise weather:

Good Morning, Skiers&Riders! 2″ of fresh snow atop the mountain, with 16 lifts, 73 trails, temps mid-30s, and 26 park features for today.

-Northstar California Ski Resort

Chain controls on I-80 over Donner Summit, U.S. 50 over Echo Summit and on Mt. Rose Highway this morning.
