Lake Tahoe Storm Update: 15-30 New Inches of Snow Possible

Be sure to travel with a pair of chains for your tires, because we could get 15-30 new inches inches of snow in the next 24 hours. With a very snowy weekend and what is looking to be a very snowy week, it’s going to be the perfect time to call in sick, pull out the skis or snowboard and head up to your favorite Lake Tahoe resort.
The sierrasun.com reported on recent accumulations:
LAKE TAHOE — A winter storm warning remains in effect until 4 p.m. Monday for the greater Truckee/Tahoe region, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Snow is expected to increase in intensity between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., NWS reports. An additional 15 to 30 inches of snow is expected above 7,000 feet, with 8 to 16 inches possible at lake level.
Regional highways continue to carry snow tire and chain restrictions; stay up to date atwww.sierrasun.com/roadconditions.
