Lake Tahoe Winter Storm Update, Thursday January 19

    The snow flurries are here! For today’s update you could just as easily look out the window, but we’ve got confirmation that snow if flying throughout the Tahoe region—and there’s more to come! Check out today’s winter weather advisory from weather.gov:

    …Snow returns to the Sierra and Northeast California tonight and Friday night…

    The first of two storm systems will move through this afternoon and tonight…bringing light to moderate snow to the sierra and Northeast California.

    A much stronger storm will arrive late Friday this afternoon and bring the threat for heavy snow and gusty winds to the Sierra though Saturday morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected to remain above 7000 feet in the Tahoe Basin and above 7500 in Mono County.
