KINGS BEACH, Calif.—Three unprecedented days of backcountry and freeride instruction, yoga and live music DJ’s makes its debuts at Kirkwood Mountain Resort, March 16 – 18, 2012. Produced by Tough Guy Productions, a Tahoe-based ski film and event production company, Subaru presents the FREERIDE FLOW FESTIVAL presented by CLIF Bar and Marmot. The three-day event brings together novice and recreational winter athletes with professional sports athletes, backcountry experts and top industry vendors for clinics, demonstrations, electronic DJs, performances and a whole lot of après ski. Clinics focus on backcountry skiing including avalanche and Beacon search, alpine, telemark and snowboard freeriding, women’s only clinics, park riding, big air bag jumping and yoga. As well as being a leave no trace earth conscious event, a portion of the proceeds from the FREERIDE FLOW FESTIVAL will go to Protect Our Winters, an environmental center point of the global winter sports community, united towards a common goal of reducing climate change effects on sports and local economies.
