Staying in for Dinner? Here are Some Tips
  • So now that you are here, you would probably like to save some money—we understand. Eating out can be hard on the wallet, so why not stay in for dinner?

If you are looking for groceries…

    On the South Shore

Grocery Outlet at 2358 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Grocery Outlet is known for affordability. If it is simple home dining you are after this is the place to stock up.

Lira’s Supermarket at 2977 Highway 50 is a great grocery store for fresh produce, deli meats and utensils. It’s located in Meyers on the way into South Lake Tahoe from Sacramento. This supermarket has a hometown feel but everything you’ll need. If you are staying in one of Tahoe’s great cabins or vacation rentals off Highway 50, this is the perfect one-stop-shop.

Raley’s Supermarket at Ste 6, 4000 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, near the Heavenly Gondola, and 1040 Emerald Bay Rd. For a full selection of produce, home goods and fresh food, try Raley’s Supermarket. It is an easy bet with a large selection of everything you will need for a great dinning at home. The Raley’s near the gondola and Grass Roots near the “Y” at Hwy. 89 are the best places in town to find organic, gluten-free, natural foods.

    On the North Shore

Are you hunkered down a little further north? Check out the Saver Mart on 100 River Rd in Tahoe City. And for those staying in Truckee, try out the New Moon Natural Foods store. It’s stocked full of natural foods that are hard to find anywhere else. Check them out at 11357 Donner Pass Rd.

Check out the Raley’s north shore store at 930 Tahoe Blvd Incline Village, NV 89451.

Don’t forget to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bags). A lot of people in Tahoe respect the three R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle.
